Gravy, made from the juices of your Christmas turkey!

Turkey Gravy

 

Don’t open a pack of gravy powder this Christmas ... try your own home-made version!


Place the neck and giblets of the turkey in water (to cover), and simmer for 30 minutes to make the stock.

 

Take 2 tablespoons of the juices from the turkey roasting tin, and place in a saucepan.

 

Add 1 heaped tablespoon of flour and cook slowly for 5 minutes.

 

Gradually add the stock, stirring continuously.

 

Add salt and pepper to taste.

 

If desired, also add chopped sage to taste.
